Associated and Engaged: Member Engagement Strategies for Associations

Erica Salm Rench, MBA is the COO at Rasa.io. After working in enrollment management where she focused on recruitment strategy and marketing, Erica managed a team of online marketers at the largest digital marketing company in the Gulf South. There, she supported the web development, SEO, online advertising, and content marketing teams in executing strategies which elevated organizations to stand out and be seen amongst the chaos of the online marketplace. Now, as the COO at rasa.io, she gets to blend her love of digital marketing technology and email in order to support the incredible community of rasa.io customers.

Prior to joining Breezio, Ben held various roles ranging from Sales Manager to Director of Client Services at Avectra (now Abila) as well as Vocus (then publicly traded as VOCS before being acquired by Cision). Following that he founded and co-founded multiple successful companies providing technology-focused products and services to associations and nonprofits.  Ben is always balancing his strategic and entrepreneurial mindset with learning new technologies while remaining focused on the people and relationship-building elements of business. Ben is an active volunteer, member, committee member, and speaker with multiple associations and nonprofits including the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE), the Society for Information Management (SIM), the Northern Virginia Technology Council (NVTC), is a member of the NVTC Executive Circle and also serves on the Board of Directors for the Rochester Ataxia Foundation (RAF) based out of his hometown in Western New York.

Thomas McClintock is the Senior Client Services Manager at Empowered Margins, Inc. He uses his 30 years of martech, communication and business development expertise to take digital marketing and automation to new heights. Tom founded and ran several firms including three marketing agencies, a venture-backed content aggregator and an international trading house. Tom knows how to use the right data to find the right audience at the right time. He particularly enjoys crafting targeted messages for fast-growth tech companies like Empowered Margins because of their vision and ability to elevate and transform whole industries. When not marketing, you can often find Tom with his wife and son in Colorado Springs, Colorado where they divide their off hours between movies, sci-fi, games, the outdoors and volunteer work for at-risk youth.

Chris was a high-level strategy, technology, and marketing consultant to Global 1000 companies in our former lives. For over a decade, he helped clients like Microsoft, Novell, American Airlines, and many others worldwide innovate and grow.

Traci King started her career in the events industry 10 years ago where she served as a Meeting Content Manager for an Association Management Company. There she worked to develop programs for medical and scientific conferences ranging from 500 to 5,000 attendees. Using event technology software, Traci became aware of Cadmium (formerly CadmiumCD) and the abundant platform that they offered. Traci joined the team in 2013 as an Abstract Scorecard Project Manager. She helped clients dtheir submission and reviews processes surrounding multiple applications, taking care to pay attention to client’s budget and project timelines. In 2016, Traci began working on the sales team, working with prospects and clients to create solutions to save their team’s time, produce better events and maximize revenue. Now, Traci operates as Cadmium’s Vice President of Event Tech Sales and looks to create change within the event and learning management environments by creating awareness of the benefits of a single platform solution that is Cadmium.

Traci earned her Bachelor’s of Science and Master’s of Public Policy from Vanderbilt University She enjoys exploring small and large cities, listening to podcasts, cooking and eating, and being around the people she loves.
