Barbra Schulman

Barbra is a marketing professional with over 20 years of experience in multi-channel campaign strategy and management. She has a successful track record of increasing revenues through introduction of new program opportunities and improved data interpretation. Barbra spent 10 years at the March of Dimes, where she helped double revenue for the direct response department. Her other work experience includes time at companies in both the nonprofit and for profit sector including Citibank and MasterCard. She currently works with Human Rights Watch, TechnoServe, the National Urban League, and The Lustgarten Foundation, among others.

Sarah Lange

Sarah Lange is the nonprofit sector’s top revenue generator, having raised over $100M! She’s worked with over 200 nonprofits to raise more money, build stronger boards, chart a roadmap for the future, and brag about the good work they’re doing. Sarah is a four-time author and has taught at Clark University, Boston University, Worcester State University, and University of MA Boston. Her BA is from Colgate University; her Masters from BU School of Social Work.

Ron Segev

Ron Segev is a co-founder and VP of Partnerships at Vome Volunteer. With over 8 years of experience advising and working with nonprofits, Ron is passionate about helping volunteer managers streamline their workflows and making it easier to engage volunteers. Ron holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from McGill University.

Johan Hammerstrom

Johan Hammerstrom’s focus and expertise are in nonprofit IT leadership, governance practices, and nonprofit IT strategy. In addition to deep experience supporting hundreds of nonprofit clients for over 20 years, Johan has a technical background as a computer engineer and a strong servant-leadership style as the head of an employee-owned small service business. After advising and strategizing with nonprofit clients over the years, he has gained a wealth of insight into the budget and decision-making culture at nonprofits – a culture that enables creative IT management but can place constraints on strategies and implementation.

As CEO, Johan provides high-level direction and leadership in client partnerships. He also guides Community IT’s relationship to its Board and ESOP employee-owners. Johan is also instrumental in building a Community IT value of giving back to the sector by sharing resources and knowledge through free website materials, monthly webinars, and external speaking engagements.

Adam Robertson

The team lead of Kellen Digital, which operates within the Marketing, Membership & Sales and Strategic Communications departments, Adam strategizes, oversees and executes all digital marketing campaigns for clients, spanning all industry verticals. Taking a data-driven approach to marketing disciplines, including social media, email, website, paid digital advertising and SEO, he ensures optimal, multi-channel campaigns are run efficiently and effectively. Adam is also a Certified Digital Marketing Professional (CDMP) through the Digital Marketing Institute and a Professional Certified Marketer (PCM) through the American Marketing Association.

Scott Oser

Scott Oser has over 25 years of marketing experience in the association industry. Since starting Scott Oser Associates in 2006 he has been fortunate to have worked with an extensive number of individual membership, and trade, organizations in a wide variety of industries. Scott is highly skilled in creating effective membership, marketing and sales programs with the ability to align resources and operations to consistently achieve and exceed goals.

Maureen Miller

Maureen has 20+ years’ experience in budget and financial management and is committed to developing and continually enhancing financial systems that increase efficiencies and impact, while supporting organizations to achieve strategic fiscal goals.

Maureen offers part-time CFO management and educational services focusing primarily on workshops, financial assessment, and budget & financial management, with the ultimate goal of reducing client’s FOF (fear of financials). She does this by supporting, coaching, and educating clients on how to map out an effective plan to create, understand, and manage their organization’s financial goals and metrics.

Maureen’s background includes 12 years as Finance & Administrative Director at a state-wide nonprofit, 16 years working with 3 different organizations (Sustainability Institute, Carsey School of Public Policy, and the Institute on Disability) within the University of New Hampshire system, and 7 years as a Financial Management Consultant for nonprofits and small businesses.

Ryan Gerhardt

Driven by an eagerness to inform and entertain, Ryan brings an engaging, relatable writing style to all nonprofit messaging projects.

Prior to joining the Big Duck team, Ryan honed his communications skills across an array of applications — from book publishing and article writing, to copywriting work in the agency world and in-house marketing for a nonprofit. Ryan’s varied experiences help him craft unique voices and stories for any organization. He is a graduate of Syracuse University, where he studied both advertising and political science — something that comes in handy in the nonprofit sector.

When he’s not at Big Duck, Ryan can probably be found studying script techniques in recent films, enjoying a slice of pizza, or traversing the streets of Brooklyn to prepare for his next race.
