Hawwa Muhammad

Driven by a passion for research, cross-pollination of ideas, and infusing equity into all processes, Hawwa Muhammad, a seasoned professional with over a decade of experience in the nonprofit sector, founded Pink Trumpet.

What began as an internship at one of the largest grant-making organizations in West Africa led to a career exploring issues around best practices in philanthropy and the larger implications this has on the nonprofit sector. She has volunteered and worked with a variety of preeminent foundations and national and local nonprofits

Hawwa is a social entrepreneur with a passion for helping others bridge creative ideas with sustainable strategies to achieve positive social impact.

She holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the Rutgers School of Public Affairs and Administration, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Rutgers University.
